Instructions for a beautiful bride!

"Becoming a beautiful bride is what most girls dream of (You know the one, the ones that everyone talks about. The ones you keep pictures of!) but becoming one is a totally different matter. It should come naturally, they say ''You''ll just glow on the day'' but if you don''t take the necessary steps to ensure it! Don''t bank on it! Hey don''t worry baby! We have all the necessary little instructions to help you... read on! Phase 1: Facials If you know you''re getting married at least 6 months before, book some facials. Don''t worry if you don''t have that long, even one month is enough. The best facials that are recommended to clients, use small electrical impulses to increase circulation, excellent if you have problem skin. You''ll be looking to pay around ú25-ú35 for a facial and over six months you''ll probably need three. Some salons give discounts for a group of treatments. All facials stimulate your skins circulation. Drink plenty of water. You will need to drink about eight glasses a day, for you to notice a change. Water plumps up the cells that give you that ''Glow look'' to your skin and a sparkle to those eyes. Phase 2: Wedding Dress Choose a bridal outfit and jewellery that is going to suit you. Check them next to your skin when you look in the mirror they should make your eyes light up and your skin blossom. Make sure that the gold of your outfit and the gold of your jewellery aren''t too different! Phase 3: Make-up Check magazines or films for inspiration. Most of us see what we like ''n'' love there first! There are so many different styles, clothes and makeup to choose from and it is difficult making a choice. Why not have a trial make-over? Show your make-up artist pictures of what you like to give them an idea of what YOU consider ''beautiful''. Take your wedding outfit if you can and some pieces of jewellery so that you get a better idea. Although a trial make-over will give you an idea of what to expect, more than likely you will always look far better on the day. Don''t worry if the look isn''t what you expected you can change it as many times as you want before the big day. Above all a beautiful bride is one who warms a heart with a smile and carries an air of dignity, calm and kindness!

I NEED HELP!!! Write to moona at : INFO@DULHAN.TV
Dear Moona I'm getting married around October time, the date has not yet been set. I would love to look the model bride but I'm a little bit plump and I find it very hard to lose weight. I'm learning to live with it but I wish there was some miracle cure so that I would wake up one day and I would be slim. I've been really stressed out, my hair has gone thin and I think my face is generally too round. I booked a make-up artist and in the trial my face took over my features. I can't explain it but my face was enormous and my eyes seemed so small. What can I do? Sara London Moona says: Sara most people only get married once. Therefore go the hog and first things first. Bust your stresses and join a gym, drink plenty of water and stop thinking about weight and you will lose it. Just enjoy the gym, You'll see. If you can't join a gym? Walk! take a mate and chat for an hour round the park each day. I promise you won't even notice it. Any extra activity will help your metabolic rate and help you to feel less stressed and better able to cope with things. Shop around a little sometimes its worth it to go a little extra especially as you can't repeat your wedding day. Find a qualified Make-Up artist and they will be able to structure your face to make it appear longer and bring out your features so that the shape of your face disappears to you. Also Sara take note: Aishwarya has a round face and its beautiful so quit worrying - I'm sure you're going to be a magnificent bride!

Spotty!

Dear Moona

I cleanse, tone and moisturize my face everyday, I steam about 2-3 times a month but I can't still get rid of my spots, please help?

Gita London

Moona says:
The problem Gita may be that perhaps you touch your face too much. Try and assess how many times a day you might do that because more often than not, the very first thing I find with people of problematic skin is that they touch it too much, too often. Our fingers are riddled with grime and bacteria which naturally in times of stress, will be passed onto our faces.

If it is not the case then you have other options:- Is your diet balanced? Do you drink enough water? Are the products you are using suitable? If it is not one of these then I suggest talking to a doctor who may be-able to recommend a course of antibiotics. Although I recommend checking the other options first.

Dark Circles

Dear Moona

Me and my family suffer really badly from dark circles, on any other occasion I don't worry massively about it but i'm getting married and the closer the wedding is getting the more i'm panicking and the darker the circles.  When I try to cover them up they go wrinkly and blue?  I don't know what to do if possible please help?

Jaz London

Dear Jaz,

Dark circles are a problem for 90% all our brides so don't feel alone! They can be a mixture of a hereditory problem with a fantastic dash of bad diet and lack of sleep all the things you're most likely to do on the run up to your wedding.

If the problem is hereditory its a harder battle to get rid of them but that doesn't mean you can't alleviate the symptoms, get plenty of rest, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day because dehydration definately doesn't help the circles, cut the caffeine, stop smoking and eat iron, zinc and vitamin C and protein rich foods, failing the foods get some supplement on board and ensure you have them regularly.

Try soaks of Mint water, rose water or massage a little almond oil into the skin to alleviate the stresses.  Also facials will help relax the skin considerable and that will also help.

You're wedding take charge and let me know how you get on!  Book a professional makeup artist who understands how to cover the circles without making them blue! Get a trial and take photos to be sure.  All the very best for your wedding Jaz.
